Driver Ultimate Zim is an independently developed study software application operated by Cresco Systems. The developers, designers, and operators of this app have no link, affiliation, endorsement, or representation with the Government of Zimbabwe, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, the Vehicle Inspection Department (VID), or the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe (TSCZ). All study guides, practice questions, and educational materials provided are based on the publicly available Official Highway Code of Zimbabwe and are independently set by private educational designers for self-study purposes.
1. Overview & Commitment
Driver Ultimate Zim ("the App", "we", "our") values user privacy. We are committed to processing your personal data lawfully and transparently under the Cyber and Data Protection Act (Chapter 12:07) of Zimbabwe and international data protection regulations.
2. What Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary to deliver personalized driving theory practice and track learning progress:
- Account Identifiers: Display name and email address when authenticating via Firebase.
- Study Profile Preferences: Selected vehicle class (Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, or Class 4), target VID test date, and personal study goals.
- Learning Statistics: Practice test scores, accuracy percentages, answered question logs, and achievement badges.
- Technical Diagnostics: Anonymized crash logs and device metrics via Firebase Crashlytics to maintain application stability.
3. Purpose of Processing
Your data is processed strictly for:
- Customizing practice tests to your selected vehicle licence class (Class 1, 2, 3, 4) and VID test categories.
- Providing Eleanor AI audio explanations and progress coaching.
- Saving your learning history and syncing study data across your devices.
- Scheduling optional local 24-hour study reminders (which you can easily turn off in App Settings).
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted industry providers for infrastructure and security:
- Google Firebase (Authentication & Cloud Firestore): Encrypted database and user authentication.
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Optional advertisements to provide free daily fuel refills.
- Google Play In-App Billing: Secure purchase handling for optional Pro access upgrades.
5. Your Rights Under Data Protection Legislation
All users have full legal rights to:
- Access Data: Review what personal data is held about you.
- Update Details: Modify your display name, licence class, or settings directly in App Settings.
- Right to Deletion: Permanently erase your account and all associated study data at any time.
6. Account & Data Deletion Requests
You can delete your data immediately in the app via Settings → Reset learning progress, or submit an online request through our Data Deletion Request Page.
